
CBSE announces CTET 2026 re-exam after cancellation at Bihar centres

After days of uncertainty for aspirants in Bihar, CBSE has announced the re-examination schedule for CTET February 2026. The move comes after the test was called off at two centres due to unavoidable circumstances.
The revised CTET admit card for the candidates who were allotted the affected centres will be available shortly in the candidates' application log-in, a statement released in this regard said.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the re-exam date for candidates affected due to the cancellation of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on February 7–8, 2026, in Vaishali (Hajipur) (125016 – St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar) and 125014 – Lakshya International Academy) due to “unavoidable circumstances”. The CTET February 2026 re-exam date is March 1.
The revised CTET admit card for the candidates who were allotted the affected centres will be available shortly in the candidates’ application log-in, a statement released in this regard said.
The official website to download the CTET revised admit card is ctet.nic.in. The administering body will next release the provisional answer keys of the CTET 2026. CBSE will also issue the scanned images of the OMR answer sheets of the candidates. Once released, candidates will be able to check both answer keys and the response sheet on the official website at ctet.nic.in.
The revised schedule has been notified following the decision to conduct a re-exam for affected candidates. The notice has been issued by the Director (CTET) under the CBSE, which conducts the CTET.
Candidates have been advised to check official CTET communication channels for details related to the updated examination dates, reporting time, and other instructions. The notice also reiterates that only candidates specified in the notification are required to appear for the re-examination.
