CBI records statements of Param Bir Singh, Sachin Vaze in preliminary enquiry against Anil Deshmukh

CBI teams on Thursday recorded statements of former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh, arrested cop Sachin Vaze as well as his colleague ACP Sanjay Patil in connection with extortion allegations made against ex-Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recorded the statement of former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh, arrested cop Sachin Vaze and ACP Sanjay Patil in connection with his allegations of corruption against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. A CBI team arrived in Mumbai from Delhi on Tuesday and started recording statements as per the Bombay High Court order on the petition to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the allegations and submit a report to the Director of CBI within fifteen days. India Today TV has learnt that during his statement to CBI, Param Bir Singh stood by his allegations against Anil Deshmukh and provided details and evidence of his conversations with police officers Sanjay Patil and Sachin Vaze who were allegedly asked by the then Maharashtra home minister to extort money from restaurants and bars in Mumbai.
