
Capt Amarinder Singh meets Amit Shah in Delhi, discusses farm laws, MSP

Captain Amarinder Singh, who met Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, discussed the prolonged farmers’ agitation and urged him to repeal the farm laws.
Amid speculation of him joining the BJP, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh met Union Home Amit Shah at the latter's residence in Delhi. The two leaders discussed the prolonged agitation by farmers against the Centre's three farm laws, Capt Amarinder Singh's media advisor said.
"Discussed the prolonged farmers’ agitation against farm laws and urged him to resolve the crisis urgently with repeal of the laws and guarantee MSP, besides supporting Punjab in crop diversification," Capt Amarinder Singh's media advisor Raveen Thukral quoted him as saying.

Two years ago, former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina warned of an alleged plot by a 'white man' to establish a Christian state. In 2025, the Mizoram CM said Ukraine war veterans were using the state to enter Myanmar. The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.
