Coimbatore saw key candidates submit their nominations on Saturday for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election
In Pollachi, V. Jayaraman (72) of AIADMK filed his nomination, declaring movable assets of ₹6.11 crore and immovable assets of ₹7.60 crore in his affidavit. G. Ramanathan (33) of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) also submitted his papers.
Coimbatore (South) saw D. Vigneshwaran (34, independent), P. Manoj (32, independent), L. Stephenraj (31, independent), B. Yuvaraj (28, independent), K. Dinesh Kumar (26, independent), P. Palanivel (45, independent), and M. Thirugnanam (30, independent), all natives of Karur. Muthukumar (54, independent), a native of Telugupalayam, filing nominations.
In Coimbatore North, K. Udhayakumar (56) of Thamizhaka Padaippalar Makkal Katchi, S. Saranya (38) of (TVK), V. Sampathkumar (47) of (TVK), and G. D. Krishnakumar (49, independent) submitted their papers.
Kavundampalayam recorded nominations from S. Gowri (47, independent), V. Pushpanantham (independent), and R. D. Kanimozhi Santhosh (37) of (TVK). Kinathukadavu saw Vignesh K of (TVK) and Mariyappan R of the Ganasangam Party of India enter the race.
Singanallur candidates include K. S. Sri Giri Prasath (43) of (TVK), Sivaji P (independent) of Bahujan Samaj Party, and S. M. Sarveswaran (independent) of the Party for the Rights of Other Backward Classes.
