Carnival Cruise Line is allowing guests to dine and dash – but not the way you might think.
The company introduced a new Express Dining option in its main dining rooms, giving guests a multi-course dinner in less than an hour. The offering is available for groups of six people or fewer.
"Our guests continue to tell us they value greater flexibility in how they spend their time on board, and Express Dining was designed with that in mind," Christine Duffy, Carnival’s president, said in a news release. "Our pilot program generated positive feedback from our guests. With this in mind, we are excited to expand Express Dining to offer them the same high quality dishes and attentive service our dining rooms are known for, while giving guests the ability to use more of their time to enjoy all the other onboard fun."
Express Dining enables passengers to enjoy a speedy dinner with kids before bedtime, for example, or fit in a quick meal before a show. Menu items mirror "the main dining room offerings, with a slightly abbreviated selection," according to the release (though the cruise line can still accommodate special dietary needs).
