Calgary officials to give update on 'catastrophic' water main break
CBC
City of Calgary officials are set to give a technical briefing about a major water main break that caused flooding and prompted a boil water advisory for parts of Calgary.
Mayor Jeromy Farkas will speak alongside Calgary Emergency Management Agency Chief Susan Henry, and the city's general manager of Infrastructure Services Michael Thompson.
The second catastrophic break of the Bearspaw south feeder main in less than two years happened Tuesday night along 16th Avenue, east of the interchange with Sarcee Trail.
Parts of Montgomery, Parkdale, Point McKay and West Hillhurst remain under a boil water advisory, while residents across the city are being asked to limit their water usage where possible.
