Woman dead after Highway 401 collision in Mississauga

A woman is dead after a collision on Highway 401 near Dixie Road in Mississauga, according to paramedics.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near Dixie Road at approximately 6:30 a.m., Peel paramedics say.
All eastbound collectors’ lanes were closed as a result of the crash, Ontario Provincial Police said on social media. “The closure is expected to be lengthy,” they added.The cause of the crash remains unclear. Police haven’t said when the lanes are expected to reopen.
