
BSF jawan dies due to deteriorating health during training in Rajasthan’s Barmer

A BSF jawan allegedly died on Monday due to deteriorating health during training in Rajasthan’s Barmer district.
A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan died on Monday while he was in Rajasthan’s Barmer district for promotion training. The jawan, identified as Sunil Kumar, allegedly fell ill and died due to deteriorating health.
The 53-year-old BSF jawan was a resident of Khetri in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. He was posted with the 102nd battalion in Bhuj, Gujarat. Sunil Kumar had joined the training of the 83rd Battalion in Barmer that started from April 4.
On Monday, Sunil Kumar was eating after training when he allegedly felt dizzy and his health deteriorated. Following this, another BSF personnel took him to the district hospital by ambulance. At the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

On receiving information about the incident, the Rajasthan Police, in the presence of battalion officers, kept the body in the mortuary of the Government District Hospital and started an investigation.
Speaking to India Today, Rangaram, head constable of Kotwali police, confirmed that the case of a jawan’s death due to deteriorating health has come to light.
The police have informed the relatives of the jawan about his demise. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained. According to the police, only after the post-mortem report comes, some confirmation will be possible. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report, the police said.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
