Netflix finally unveiled the first trailer of Bridgerton season 2. The second season of the period drama will premiere on March 25.
The wait is finally over as the trailer of Bridgerton season 2 is finally here. The first trailer of the second season teases fans with a steamy romance between newcomer Kate Sharma, played by Simone Ashley, and Anthony Bridgerton, portrayed by Jonathan Bailey. Directed by Chris Van Dusen, Bridgerton 2 will premiere on March 25 on Netflix.
After dropping the first look of season 2 last month, the makers have finally unveiled its trailer. With romance budding between Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), we can’t wait to see if the steamy chemistry intensifies further. The trailer also showcases Lady Whistledown, the anonymous columnist. She, in the final season, revealed to be Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
Kate Sharma's character is based on that of Kate Sheffield, from Julia Quinn's second Bridgerton novel, The Viscount Who Loved Me. With the Sheffields re-imagined as Sharmas of Indian origin, it is safe to say that the regency drama will continue to question and challenge race stereotypes.

Bridgerton Season 1 followed the steamy romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). The trailer shows that Dynevor has reprised his role as Daphne. However, Page has exited the show and there's no clarity yet on whether the role of the Duke of Hastings will be taken up by another actor. Similarly, Daphne's storyline also remains a mystery.
Bridgerton debuted on Netflix on December 25, 2020, and quickly became a phenomenon.
