
Bombay High Court grants pre-arrest bail to man in 'triple talaq via SMS' case

The Bombay High Court has granted a pre-arrest bail to a man accused of invoking ‘triple talaq’ through an SMS.
A man, who had earlier been granted interim protection, has been granted a pre-arrest bail by the Bombay High Court after being accused of invoking ‘triple talaq’ through an SMS.
The court saw that the accused husband had "issued notice for restitution of conjugal rights, which was replied to by his wife. There are matrimonial differences between both parties. The wife has filed proceedings under Domestic Violence Act before the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate on June 23, 2021."

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
