BMW Motorrad launches touring range, BMW R 1250 RT, K 1600 Bagger, K 1600 GTL and K 1600 Grand America

BMW Motorrad's touring range come equipped with powerful engines, comfort and driving dynamics for long-distance touring.
BMW Motorrad has launched its range of touring motorcycles in India, starting with the BMW R 1250 RT, BMW K 1600 B, BMW K 1600 GTL and the BMW K 1600 Grand America. Prices start at Rs 23.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1250 RT and go all the way up to Rs 33 lakh for the 1600 Grand America. Deliveries of these motorcycles have started for the customers who pre-booked via the BMW Motorrad dealer network.

The BMW R 1250 RT is powered by the BMW Boxer engine. It is a 2-cylinder with ShiftCam variable intake tech producing 136bhp and 143Nm of torque. It gets a new front that is slimmer, has LED headlamps and a new visor that provides a better view for the rider. There is a large 10.25-inch TFT display that provides telemetry, navigation, infotainment and connected app features. The R 1250 RT also comes with ABS Pro, active cruise control with radar, customizable buttons, dynamic traction control, multiple riding modes, hill start control, adaptive headlamps, electronically adjustable suspension, seat heating, TPMS, sports silencer and more.
The other three motorcycles are powered by the 1,649cc six-cylinder motor that produces 160bhp and 180Nm of torque. The BMW K 1600 Bagger has full LED lighting with cornering function, a 10.25-inch display with smartphone connectivity and navigation. dynamic traction control, engine brake control, Dynamic ESA, hill start assist pro, tyre pressure control, heated grips, heated seats, powerful audio system and more. The BMW K 1600 GTL has access to the same features and equipment as the bagger but gets more storage with 113-litre capacity with the side case and top case.
BMW offers extra features with the BMW K 1600 Grand America such as improved seat for pillion rider, taller windscreen, top case, side case and floorboard for long comfortable cruising. The rest of the equipment is the same as the other two 1600cc motorcycles.
