
BJP offered money to cross vote in presidential poll, claims Trinamool MLA

Bengal MLA Narendranath Chakraborty claimed that one Sanjay Singh called him two days ago and said that the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly and BJP leader, Suvendu Adhikari, wanted to speak to him.
A Trinammol Congress MLA has claimed that he was offered money to cross vote in tomorrow’s Presidential poll.
Bengal MLA Narendranath Chakraborty claimed that one Sanjay Singh called him two days ago and said that the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly and BJP leader, Suvendu Adhikari, wanted to speak to him.
He was allegedly threatened with dire consequences if he didn’t follow through, Chakraborty alleged.
The TMC MLA from Pandabeswar in West Burdwan has also filed a police complaint against Singh, who is a local freelance reporter.
Chakraborty said he later found out that his party colleague and MLA from Jamuria, Hare Ram Singh, also received a similar call.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
