BJP MP Varun Gandhi, who has tested positive for coronavirus, urged the EC to provide precautionary dose of Covid vaccine to poll candidates and political workers ahead of assembly elections in 5 states.
BJP MP Varun Gandhi took to Twitter on Sunday to relay the news that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and was experiencing “strong symptoms”. After being in Pilibhit for 3 days, I have tested positive for COVID with fairly strong symptoms.We are now in the middle of a third wave and an election campaign.The Election Commission should extend precautionary doses to candidates and political workers as well.
The BJP leader also expressed concern over the startling surge in Covid cases in the country while assembly elections in five key states are looming on the horizon.
