BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri was allegedly attacked by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party workers near Isapalli village in Telangana.
BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri was allegedly attacked by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party workers near Isapalli village in Telangana. The Nizamabad MP was on his way to Nandipet when TRS workers allegedly blocked his path and attacked him.
The BJP leader and his personal assistant reportedly sustained injuries. The windscreen of the MP's vehicle was also damaged in the alleged attack. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) district general secretary Vijay was allegedly stabbed with a knife and suffered serious injuries.
Immediately after this incident, Arvind Dharmapuri left for Nizamabad to meet the Commissioner of Police. He alleged that goons wielding knives attacked his convoy and has filed a complaint alleging a murder attempt.
Arvind Dharmapuri also alleged that local police led his convoy into the ambush and worked as per the directions of the ruling TRS.
The party workers were staging a protest alleging that he failed to set up a turmeric board in the district.
The ruling party alleged that it was the local turmeric farmer demanding a spice board in the area that attacked the BJP MP. TRS said that a turmeric board was promised by the MP during the 2019 general elections.
Dharmapuri defeated K Kavita, TRS sitting MP, and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to become MP of Nizamabad in 2019.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
