
Bihar: Stepfather kills minor girl for talking to lover, body recovered from Patna river

A man allegedly killed her stepdaughter for talking to her boyfriend on the phone. The girl's body was found in a river in Patna.
The Patna police have arrested a man for killing his stepdaughter and dumping her body in the Punpun river in the rural parts of the city. The case came to light when locals in the Fatuha police station area in rural Patna fished out a decomposed body from the Punpun river on Wednesday afternoon. The police sent the body for a postmortem. The girl was later identified as a 15-year-old resident of Ekangarsarai in Nalanda district of Bihar.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
