A 32-year-old woman was allegedly drugged and raped by her gym partner in Hanumanganj, Bhopal, in January this year.
A 32-year-old woman was allegedly drugged and raped by her gym partner in Hanumanganj, Bhopal.
According to a report published in The Times of India (TOI), the accused was identified as Himanshu Gupta, a resident of Hanumanganj.
The victim came in contact with the accused at the gym.
On January 16, the accused called her to his home, offered her a drink laced with sedatives, after which she fell unconscious and outraged her modesty, SI Kanchan Rajput said, as reported by TOI.
She protested after regaining consciousness, but the accused promised not to repeat the incident in the future.
However, a few days back, the accused contacted her again and started stalking, threatening to defame her. Due to the harassment, she approached Hanumanganj police station to lodge a complaint.
A case was registered against the accused on charges of rape and efforts are underway to arrest him.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
