Bheemla Nayak box office collection Day 17: Pawan Kalyan film holds strong

Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak is successfully running in theatres despite new releases. The film is days away from finding a place in the Rs 200 crore club. Bheemla Nayak is facing stiff competition from Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam. It is safe to say that both films have impressed the audience and are pulling the crowds to the theatres.

As reported earlier, Bheemla Nayak is the official Telugu remake of the Malayalam superhit venture, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The film graced the screens across the globe on February 25. Bheemla Nayak was a faithful remake and received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, in his tweet, wrote that the film has collected Rs 189.97 crore. His post read, "#BheemlaNayak WW Box Office Week 1 - Rs 170.74 cr. Week 2 - Rs 16.30 cr. Week 3 Day 1 - Rs 1.39 cr. Day 2 - Rs 1.54 cr. Total - Rs 189.97 (sic)."

Bheemla Nayak, which is helmed by Saagar K Chandra, has screenplay written by Trivikram Srinivas. The film saw Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati stepping into the shoes of Biju Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran, respectively. The original film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, was helmed by late director Sachy.
