Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the new collectorate building in Jangaon, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) claimed that the PM Modi-led central government had failed to extend support to the state and would be “chased out of power”.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi KCR added, “I am ready to fight. If you say so, I am ready to storm the Delhi fort. Beware Narendra Modi, I am a son of a tiger.” He said he was ready to enter national politics, but only “if there is a necessity”.
Telangana CM KCR went on to criticise the Union government over power sector reforms and declared that he would not implement them at any cost. “We will not fix motors to agriculture pump sets,” he said.
Earlier this month, while responding to the Union Budget, KCR had called PM Modi a “short-sighted” prime minister. He also said, “The BJP will be drowned in the Bay of Bengal.”
Further, when PM Modi visited Hyderabad earlier this month to unveil the Statue of Equality, CM KCR gave the PM’s visit a miss.
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed anger at the house arrest of BJP leaders and workers during CM KCR’s visit to Jangaon.
“For the last two days, the police have been harassing BJP leaders and cadres of Jangaon district by arresting them and taking them to police stations,” he alleged.
