Besides, 11 districts are also close to achieving this feat. They have vaccinated over 90 per cent of its population with both doses of Covid vaccine.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru Urban remained the top major contributor of Covid-19 cases in Karnataka, which has been witnessing a surge in coronavirus infections. On Sunday, Bengaluru Urban registered 11,938 Covid cases and fourteen Covid deaths, taking the total number of infections to 1,32,171.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
