Bengaluru: Passengers to get BMTC bus passes through mobile app

Passes for Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation's (BMTC) buses will soon be available for passengers through a mobile app.
The daily, weekly and monthly passes for Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation's (BMTC) buses will soon be available for passengers through a mobile app.
According to a report published in The Times of India (TOI), on Thursday, BMTC said it has tied up with a Bengaluru-based start-up, Tummoc, to introduce bus passes through its mobile app.
Passengers of all the buses, including non-AC buses, will be able to avail of this facility.
In addition to this, Tummoc will provide around 1,400 advanced Electronic Ticketing Machines (ETMs) on a rental basis which will mostly be deployed on Vajra and Vayu Vajra AC buses.
This move will prove to be beneficial as paper tickets issued manually cause inconvenience to both conductors and passengers.
