A man, native of West Bengal, has been arrested for allegedly throwing acid at his colleague over personal enmity in Bengaluru's Cubbonpete on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the victim, who is said to be the colleague of the attacker, suffered 30% burns in the acid attack. However, he is recovering at Victoria hospital in the city.
After the incident, a complaint was registered at Halasuru Gate police station and an investigation was launched into the matter.
Probe revealed that on the day of the incident, the duo got drunk and argued over a trivial issue. In no time, the argument escalated and the accused, identified as Janatha, in a fit of rage, splashed acid at the victim.
Police have arrested the accused.
Notably, this is the second incident of an acid attack in over a month in Bengaluru. Earlier, an acid attack case was reported in the Kamakshipalya limits of the city on April 28 when a 23-year-old woman turned down the advances of the accused.
