
Beaten on camera, Indore official says he doesn't know if it was Akash Vijayvargiya

On June 26, 2019, BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, son of veteran party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, thrashed Dhirendra with a cricket bat in full public glare. The whole incident was recorded by the media.
In June 2019, a video of BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya beating up an Indore Municipal Corporation official with a bat went viral on social media.

Following the incident, municipal corporation official Dhirendra Bais filed a complaint against the BJP MLA.
However, Dhirendra said before the court on Saturday that he did not see who hit him with the bat from behind. "I was on a call at the time of the incident. When I looked back, Akash Vijayvargiya, along with five others, was standing with a bat in his hand. However, I did not see who attacked me," Dhirendra said in his latest statement before the Indore court.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
