Malayalam actor Basil Joseph was seen enthusiastically supporting his friend Sanju Samson during India's T20 World Cup triumph. The actor proudly bought a jersey and dubbed himself president of Sanju's Kerala fan club.
Malayalam actor and director Basil Joseph was one of the few celebrities who witnessed the iconic moment of India lifting the T20 World Cup trophy at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on March 8. From buying a jersey with Sanju Samson's name to calling himself the president of the cricketer's fan club in Kerala, Basil had a fun-filled day cheering for the Indian opener.
In a video that is now going viral, a group of young boys films Basil cheering for Sanju outside the stadium. Together, they spot a roadside shop where the director buys a jersey with Sanju's name and shows it off just like any die-hard fan would.
One of the boys then introduces Basil as the president of Sanju Samson's Kerala fan club. Screaming in joy, Basil gets the Indian flag painted on his cheeks and enters the venue with high expectations.
