Bappi Lahiri suffered a heart attack after having dinner, reveals his son-in-law Gobind

Bappi Lahiri's son-in-law Gobind Bansal shared that the veteran singer suffered a heart attack after having dinner. Bappi Lahiri passed away on February 15.
The sudden demise of Bappi Lahiri left everyone in shock. The 69-year-old breathed his last on the night of February 15, at a Mumbai hospital. Bappi Lahiri's son-in-law, Gobind Bansal, revealed what happened on Tuesday night when Bappi Da left us all. Gobind is married to Rema Lahiri, Bappi Lahiri's daughter.
Veteran singer-composer Bappi Lahiri passed away at 11.45 pm on February 15. He was 69 years old. The singer's health deteriorated and he was brought to the hospital in a critical state. Talking about Bappi Da’s sudden demise, Gobind Bansal said, ‘he got a heart attack.’
"He had been admitted to the hospital for three weeks but was discharged and was back home. He also had his dinner last night at around 8:30-9 pm. But within half an hour of having his dinner, he got a heart attack. His pulse rate had gotten low. He was rushed to the hospital and the doctors declared at 11:44 that he is no more,” said Gobind Bansal.
"It is a very sad day today for us. Dada has entertained the entire country and everybody loved him,” added Gobind.
Bappi Lahiri, also known as the Disco King of India, breathed his last at 11.45 pm on February 15. Bappi Da was cremated at the Vile Parle crematorium today, February 17. His son Bappa Lahiri performed the last rites at the crematorium. A source close to IndiaToday.in, revealed the veteran singer’s funeral was postponed to February 17 so his son, Bappa, could return from the US.
