Badhaai Do Box Office Collection Day 4: Rajkummar, Bhumi's film soars high on Valentine's Day

Badhaai Do brought in good numbers at the theaters on Valentine's Day, February 14. The film, starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar released on February 11.
Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar's Badhaai Do managed to pull the audience to the theatres on Valentine's Day, February 14. The film benefitted from the romantic day as many flocked to the theatres with their loved ones. Badhaai Do was released in select theatres on February 11. While the opening was rather slow, it picked up pace during the weekend. It collected 20-25 per cent higher on Valentine's Day than the first day.
Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Badhaai Do is doing well at the box office. The film managed to retain the positive upward trend on Monday, February 14. According to Box Office India, it collected in the 1.75-2 crore nett range which made the collections 20-25% higher than the first day. The film will soon cross the 1.75 crore nett mark and it remains to be seen if it hits the 2 crore nett mark or not. Valentines Day has probably give the film a 40-50 per cent boost.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh said that the film witnessed a jump of around 30 per cent and managed to collect around Rs 7.82 crore nett on the third day of release. Badhaai Do has chances to have a run for a couple of weeks ahead of Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi releasing on February 25.
Mentioning the strength of the film performing so well without having the advantage of the night shows at several places, Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#BadhaaiDo goes from strength to strength with each passing day... Badhaai Do tells the story of a gay man, Shardul (Rajkummar Rao) and a lesbian woman, Sumi (Bhumi Pednekar) who get into a marriage of convenience to avoid society's pressure. The film is a comedy-drama and tries to portray the struggle the protagonists face in a marriage of convenience.
