A video of Patralekhaa applying sindoor on Rajkummar Rao's forehead on their wedding had gone viral. In an exclusive interaction with IndiaToday.in, the Badhaai Do actor spoke about it.
After 11-years of being in a live-in relationship, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa got married on November 15, 2021. The couple tied the knot in Chandigarh’s The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort. It was an intimate ceremony with only family members and close friends of the couple in attendance. In a recent interview with IndiaToday.in, Rajkummar opened up about his wedding and the viral sindoor from his D-Day.
During the promotion of his upcoming film, Badhaai Do, Rajkummar Rao shared how happy he is, post his low-key wedding with his longtime girlfriend, Patralekhaa. Ask him how he is feeling post his wedding, the actor shared exclusively with IndiaToday.in, "I am feeling very happy, of course, it was bound to happen today or tomorrow. So we are very-very thrilled about it."
The couple also shared a post on Instagram which read, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship, and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. Here’s to forever .. and beyond (sic).”
Out of the many wedding photos and videos shared by Rajkummar and Patralekha, one video that caught everyone's attention was when Rajkummar asked Patralekhaa to put sindoor on his forehead and said, “Tum bhi laga do”, and she did. The video garnered a lot of love and appreciation from all quarters. Speaking of the same, the Badhaai Do actor said, "There was no thought I was like 'wo bhi laga sakti hai kyui nahi', she can also say, 'tum mere ho'. I don’t know the history or reason behind the sindoor and everything, I just thought she can also put why not."
