A Mumbai court has acquitted an auto driver, accused of causing the death of a passenger, saying the possibility of bad roads leading to fatality without the driver's fault cannot be ruled out.
A magistrate court in Mumbai has acquitted a 31-year-old auto driver, accused of causing the death of a passenger in 2010, saying the possibility of bad roads causing fatality without the driver's fault cannot be ruled out. Suraj Kumar Vaikunthanath Jaiswal was accused by the victim's family of causing her death by driving at a high speed.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
