Baba Ramdev's comments on allopathy: Doctors observe Black Day with slogans on PPE, black bands

Upset over yoga guru Baba Ramdev's remarks on allopathy, doctors across the country launched a protest and observed a Black Day on Tuesday, seeking an open apology from him or action against him.

Medical associations have also sought an "unconditional open public apology" from him for his remarks. Issuing a call for protest on May 29, the Federation of Resident Doctors Associations (FORDA) had emphasised that healthcare services will not be hampered due to the stir. Some doctors marked their protest, while on duty, with messages written on their PPE kits.
