Avika Gor says ‘Pushpa, RRR, KGF have been lapped up because cinema has no barrier’ | Exclusive

Avika Gor has worked in both Hindi and South Indian language cinema. Speaking to IndiaToday.in, the actress said that she feels cinema has no language barrier.

Avika Gor started off on Indian Television as a young Anandi and has today become a well-known name. After her stint on television and short films, she was even part of South Indian films and has received love from all quarters. She joins the ongoing conversation on the language barrier which followed after a Twitter exchange between Ajay Devgn and Kiccha Sudeep. The two got into an argument of sorts over the Hindi language and South Indian language, which left the Twitterati also polarised.

While earlier Siddharth exclusively told IndiaToday.in that the debate seems motivated and unnecessary, Avika has exclusively told us that she feels cinema can never have a language barrier. She said, “The debate is just a debate. Cinema has no language barrier. It's all about expressing emotions and story telling. I have been privileged to have worked in both industries. Both are good and are valued by audiences now. Cinema is a global phenomenon. Pushpa, RRR and KGF all have been lapped up by audiences and that says it all.”

Avika has worked in a lot of Telugu films, including Cinema Choopistha Mava, Care of Footpath 2, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, Raju Gari Gadhi 3 and Net.

Meanwhile, speaking of the ongoing debate, another controversy was stirred after Mahesh Babu, in a conversation with us, said that he doesn’t believe Bollywood can afford him. He later clarified his comment.
