Actress Athiya Shetty will be accompanying her boyfriend, KL Rahul, to Germany. The cricketer needs to undergo a surgery there for his groin injury.
Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have been dating for a couple of years now. Both have often been spotted together on holidays, outings, and dinner dates. However, none of them have officially accepted their relationship in public so far. Meanwhile, IndiaToday.in has exclusively learned that Athiya will accompany her cricketer beau to Germany.
As per a source close to the couple, Athiya Shetty will be flying to Germany on Sunday, June 16, with K L Rahul for his treatment. The cricketer was ruled out of India's tour of England due to injury. The 30-year-old who sustained a groin injury is scheduled for surgery in Germany. The source further revealed that Rahul would remain there for about a month and Athiya would be by his side during his recovery.
In April, there were reports that the couple might tie the knot in Winter 2022, as per South Indian tradition. However, they have neither denied nor confirmed the wedding rumours. Athiya's father, actor Suniel Shett,y too quashed the wedding rumours on several occasions. He was quoted saying, "We (wife Mana Shetty) love the kids. I absolutely love them and think more than a profession, being happy in life is very important today because that is the space I think is missing. We were all happy, we grew up happy."
