Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his gratitude towards Mukesh Ambani for donating Rs 25 crore to CM Relief Fund for flood-affected people in the state.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday expressed his gratitude towards Reliance Industries (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani and his son Anant Ambani for donating Rs 25 crore to CM Relief Fund for the flood-affected people in the state.
The flood situation in Assam remained grim as more than 45 lakh people have been affected.
Taking to Twitter, Assam CM said, "My deepest gratitude to Mukesh Ambani & Anant Ambani for standing with the people of Assam at this crucial juncture by donating Rs 25 cr to CM Relief Fund. We appreciate this kind gesture. This will go a long way in augmenting our flood relief measures."

Earlier, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and Bollywood director Rohit Shetty also made their contribution of Rs 5 lakhs to the CM Relief Fund for the flood-affected people in the state.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
