Asmite Khadi Fair 2024 inaugurated by Karnataka CM in Belagavi

Women members of self-help groups (SHGs) from various districts are showcasing their products at the fair. A total of 150 stalls have been set up. They include 10 food fair stalls and 50 for khadi product.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar inaugurated Asmite Khadi Fair 2024 in the Sardar’s high school ground in Belagavi on December 26, as part of the Gandhi Bharata celebrations.
The event is part of the centenary celebrations of the 1924 Belgaum Congress session. It will be open till January 4.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. every day from December 26 to January 4. Entry is free.
Groups will present cultural programs every evening from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Members of SHGs are running the various Akka Cafes at the venue.
Material on sale include products made by SHGs from rural and urban areas, such as wooden dolls from Channapatna, Kinnala from Koppal, Molakalmuru sarees, Ilkal sarees, silk sarees, various innovative fabrics, bags made of fibre, spice products, grain products, value-added coastal products, various types of khadi products, products made from banana fibre, home decoration items, ayurvedic medicinal products, traditional items, household items, innovatively designed jewelry, and food products.
