As mercury soars in Rajasthan, people reel under acute water crisis in Jaipur

As the temperature is increasing in Rajasthan, parts of Jaipur reel under severe water crisis.
Scorching heat in this blistering summer has made the lives of several people a living hell in the desert state, Rajasthan. Compounding the worries of the common man is the acute water shortage which has afflicted various parts of Rajasthan including state capital of Jaipur.
In various parts of the Pink City, such as Van Vihar, Kho Nagoriyan, Mansarovar, Mahesh Nagar. Residents have been forced to make do with limited or no water supply for long spells under scorching weather conditions. In Kota as well, people have been facing acute water shortages in these sapping heat conditions.
In various parts of Rajasthan, the temperature has been hovering above 43 degrees Celsius, making lives miserable for the common people.

May is yet to arrive this year but common people in various parts of Jaipur city are already reeling under severe water crisis.
Everyday, scores of water tankers make a beeline for narrow lanes and by lanes in various localities in Jaipur as residents jostle with another to have their fill of water.
Fights and arguments often break out between people as they jostle for water whenever the tankers arrive. In the Van Vihar area of Jaipur, scenes of women jostling with one another for water are commonplace.
