After the BJP shared a sting video related to the alleged Delhi liquor scam, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia dared the saffron party to arrest him if the video is true.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday took on the opposition BJP after the saffron party shared a purported sting video linked to the alleged liquor scam. In an open challenge to the BJP, Sisodia claimed if the sting video is true then he is ready to be arrested.
On Thursday, the BJP showed the sting video at a press conference. In the video, a person linked to liquor trade is claiming that the AAP government in Delhi deliberately kept smaller players out of its "tailor-made" excise policy to help a few persons monopolise the market. The policy now stands withdrawn.
The BJP further claimed that a total amount of Rs 100 crore was given by liquor giants to the AAP in cash, to be used for elections in Goa or Punjab.
Reacting to this, Manish Sisodia said the BJP should submit this sting to the CBI as the probe agency is "acting like extended unit of the BJP".
"Arrest me by Monday if the sting is true," Manish Sisodia said.
