
Army to get indigenous bridges for operations along western borders with Pakistan

The indigenously developed 10-metre Short Span Bridging systems will help the Army come over geographical obstacles like small rivers and canals in case of operations along the western borders with Pakistan.
The Indian Army is set to get a major boost to swiftly carry out operations as Army chief Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane would be inducting the first 12 indigenously developed 10-metre Short Span Bridging systems worth Rs 492 crores into Corps of Engineers.
