Anupam Tripathi pens emotional note over Squid Game's SAG Awards 2022 nomination

Squid Game actor Anupam Tripathi expressed gratitude over SAG Awards 2022 nomination. He took to social media to pen an emotional note.
The 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) nominations were announced on January 12 in a virtual presentation on Instagram live. Popular South Korean Drama earned multiple nominations. Squid Game has been nominated for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series. Sharing the nomination certificate on social media, actor Anupam Tripathi who played the role of Ali in the series, expressed his gratitude in a lengthy note.
Squid Game created history at SAG Awards 2022 nominations. Sharing pictures of nomination certification and goodies sent by SAD, Anupam Tripathi wrote, "I feel honored,humbled,blessed and great to be nominated in the Screen Actor’s Guild awards 2021 in an ensemble cast of SquidGame for an outstanding performance in drama series. As an actor to be nominated in screen actor’s guild awards means world to me alongside with my dream team of SquidGame who made my each moment on the set unforgettable. The greats of Korean film and drama industry whom I see on screen and learn to this day has given me support to perform with joy in SquidGame and treated me as family all the way from the word go (sic)."
He further added, "As an Indian actor working in Korea and getting the recognition and appreciation in One of the prestigious award show (SAG awards) in the world for actors says it all that “dreams do come true”. I take immense pride in saying that I am also a SAG award nominee for the outstanding performance in the ensemble cast of drama series SquidGame . And I am looking forward to see all my favourite actors with eagerness who all are nominated in sag awards 2021 (sic)."

He wrote that the nomination is the result of hard of the cast and crew of Squid Game. "I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all the nominees in SAG awards 2021 from the bottom of my heart. This recognition and appreciation is the result of the hard work of each and every member of cast and crew of SquidGame who held their hands together and work shoulder to shoulder to bring out the best story of the people for the people @sagawards @squidgamenetflix @netflixkr (sic)," he said while ending his note.
Actor Anupam Tripathi, who plays a pivotal role in Squid Game also gained a lot of popularity after the series was released worldwide on Netflix. Born in Delhi, Anupam Tripathi did theatre in the national capital from 2006 to 2010. He moved to South Korea in 2010. He wanted to attend the National School of Drama. However, after winning a scholarship from the Korea National University of Arts, he joined the undergraduate program there. After completing his course, he stayed in South Korea to try his hand in Korean showbiz. Before Squid Game, Anupam had featured many Korean TV shows and films. He made his acting debut with the Korean film Ode to My Father in 2014. His other projects include the popular Korean series Descendants of the Sun and Hospital Playlist and the 2021 film Space Sweepers.
