
Antilia bomb scare case: NIA court seeks medical report of suspended cop Sachin Vaze

After suspended assistant police inspector Sachin Vaze’s legal team filed an application before the NIA court regarding his health condition, the court has now asked for his medical reports. Vaze is the prime accused in the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiren murder cases.
A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Mumbai has asked for the medical reports of suspended assistant police inspector Sachin Vaze. Earlier, Vaze’s legal team had filed a one-page application before the court stating that he has chest pain and two 90-per cent blockages in his heart. His advocate Raunak Naik said they have sought a consultation with a cardiologist in order to decide the future course of medical treatment. The NIA court will look at Vaze’s medical reports when he is brought for remand.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
