Anti-sanatana forces spreading lies, hatred in the name of language to destroy ‘Bharat’: T.N. Governor Ravi

Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi on Friday (February 28, 205) criticised the two-language policy followed by the State government, terming it “rigid.”
Certain internal and external evil forces are trying systematically to divide and destroy Bharat (India) in the name of language and race by spreading lies and hatred, charged Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi in Tirunelveli on Friday (February 28, 2025). He did not name these “evil forces”.
“But these lies and hatred being spread in the name of language and race, which will survive only for a brief period, thanks to the sanatana dharma, being preached and followed in Bharat, can never conquer this nation,” he felt.
Participating in the 193rd birth anniversary of Ayya Vaikundar, at Sengulam near Palayamkottai, he shared his belief that, Lord Vishnu, who came to earth as Rama and Krishna to destroy evil threatening the human race and dharma, was born again as Ayya Vaikundar in ‘kaliyuga’ and preached sanatana dharma for spreading equality and righteousness everywhere, particularly in Bharat during the British Rule.
According to him, “since Bharat and its leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are following Ayya Vaikundar’s sanatana dharma, India is guiding the entire world through its ‘love everyone’ policy and shares its resources, relief materials and even vaccines during COVID-19 outbreak and natural calamities with other nations.”
The Governor felt India, “which remained an under-developed and insignificant nation 10 years ago,” has become an important and inevitable nation now through unprecedented development and economic prowess, thanks to the policies of Mr. Modi. “Hence, sanatana dharma, the foundation for love, inclusiveness and development that cannot be separated from Bharat, should be taught to the children even in the schools,” Mr. Ravi said.
Contending Tamil Nadu, which had produced great leaders, siddha, poets etc. had been “the spiritual capital of Bharat,” he said hence the State had found permanent place in the heart of Mr. Modi, who was taking the pride of Tamil everywhere and allocating heftily for Tamil Nadu for development projects. “Even though there is political difference between Delhi and the State, Mr. Modi, who follows sanatana dharma, loves Tamils and Tamil Nadu and the hefty funds being given by the Centre for the welfare of Tamil Nadu is the testimony to this,” he argued. Mr Ravi cited the creation of Tamil chairs and holding of Kasi Tamil Sangamam and the like as proof for the same.
He said there was no imposition of any language on Tamils as being claimed by “anti-sanatana dharma forces” [which he did not name].
