Aam Aadmi Party alleged that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini oversaw the induction of Haryana members into Punjab BJP in Chandigarh, questioning the Bharatiya Janata Party's intent and voter integrity.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday accused Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini of orchestrating "another fraud" by facilitating the induction of Haryana-based members into the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
In a strongly worded statement on X, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party alleged that Saini presided over the joining of several members in Chandigarh who were presented as members of the Punjab BJP but were actually from Haryana.
"Another fraud of BJP exposed. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is unrelenting in his fraudulent activities. Yesterday, in Chandigarh, he enrolled some young people into the Punjab BJP, but the surprising thing was that the young people who joined were from Haryana," AAP said in a post in Hindi.
It also said that the move amounted to an insult to the youth of both Punjab and Haryana and hinted at a "deep conspiracy" to manipulate voter bases.
"This act by the Chief Minister is an insult to the youth of both Punjab and Haryana. It also reeks of a deep-rooted conspiracy by the BJP to steal votes. Is the BJP plotting to influence the elections in Punjab by creating fake votes in this manner?" the party asked.
The AAP further alleged that Nayab Saini has learnt to defraud people from his fellow BJP chief ministers, claiming the party was forced to rely on youths from Haryana to bolster its ranks.
