Move over, "Ella Enchanted," Anne Hathaway has another big-screen musical performance on the way.
Ahead of the release of "Mother Mary," a new film from A24 starring Hathaway, the movie house announced that a single sung by the actress is now available on all music streaming platforms. The song, "Burial," was written by the "Princess Diaries" actress in collaboration with Charli XCX, the singer's husband, George Daniel. Superproducer Jack Antonoff is also credited.
The song, a three-minute ditty that layers haunting vocals from Hathaway over an eerie electronic beat, arrived alongside red-stained cover art. The actress, 43, looks into the camera straight-faced in the promo image, her profile obscured by shadows and the background shaded in blood red.

In "Mother Mary," Hathaway is set to play a fictional pop star named Mother Mary who reconnects with her estranged best friend and former costume designer, Sam Anselm (Michaela Coel). Despite clearly unresolved turmoil, the singer asks her former companion to craft the perfect look for her comeback performance. However, in true A24 fashion, a trailer for the movie seems to imply more is at stake, alluding to satanic or supernatural elements.
