Ankita Bhandari murder: Accused Pulkit tried to mislead her friend, reveals call recording

The main accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, Pulkit Arya, tried to mislead her friend Pushp over the call.
In yet another twist in the alleged murder of 19-year-old receptionist Ankita Bhandari, new revelations have come to the fore. India Today TV has accessed the call recording between Pulkit Arya, the main accused in the murder case, and Ankita's friend Pushp. The call recording reveals that Pushp had asked Pulkit about Ankita's whereabouts and the accused tried to mislead him during the conversation.
The resort owner, Pulkit Arya, who also happens to be BJP leader Vinod Arya's son, its manager and assistant manager were arrested on Friday and sent to 14-day judicial custody. The autopsy report of Ankita revealed that she died due to drowning and there were findings of injuries on the body before death, suggestive of blunt force trauma.
Ankita's body was fished out of a canal on Saturday and it has also come to the fore that the victim was pressurised by Pulkit Arya and others to provide 'special service' to clients at the resort.
Pulkit told Pushp on call, "We left with Ankita in the evening and came back to the resort at 9 pm after visiting Rishikesh. Ankita also came with us and had dinner. But she was not found in her room the next morning, hence we started looking for her."

Pulkit further added, "I gave my mobile phone to Ankita for the entire night." However, a police investigation has revealed that Pulkit Arya, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar, and another accused named Ankit pushed her into a canal along Chila Road after a fight broke out between the trio and the victim.
On the day of the incident, Ankita had told Pushp that she would call her at 8.30 pm but he did not receive one from her. When Pushp did not get a call from Ankita, he dialled Pulkit, Ankit and Bhaskar to ask about where Ankita was.
