Alarmed by a number of ominous incidents taking place in the surroundings of Allagadda town in Andhra’s Kurnool district, a "peace prayer" was organised at the police station. A video of the prayer inside the police station has gone viral since then.
Policemen in Allagadda town of Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district organised a ‘peace prayer’ at the town police station to ward off ominous activities. The prayer was organised on Sunday and its video has been going viral since Tuesday, March 8.
In the video, a priest can be seen chanting mantras, and policemen, with folded hands, are following the vedic chants at the Allagadda police station.
Recently, a constable on night duty was bitten by a snake. Last week two girls were kidnapped and cases of road accidents were reported. A man near Padakandla attacked and injured people. Political rivalry related cases were also on the rise under the police station’s jurisdiction.
All of these incidents had taken place within a few weeks. This is keeping policemen on their toes. The special prayer was reportedly organised on Sunday. Its video has been going viral from Tuesday onwards.
Few people in the town believed that an ‘ominous’ power was prevailing. So, the local priest was called in. A ‘shanti paratha’ (Peace prayer) and other rituals were conducted at the police station where all the staff participated.
Now, the incident has become the talk of the town and senior officers are tightlipped about the puja that happened inside the police station.
