In several states and UTs in India, physical classes at many educational institutes will resume from today.
With a dip in the number of daily Covid-19 cases, the state government relaxed some of its strict Covid-19 guidelines. Amid this, educational institutes will be reopening in several states from today.
As per the report by the Hindustan Times (HT), the centre decided to reopen schools and colleges and also issued a guideline on how to do so.
Factors such as sanitisation of the campuses, physical distancing and scanning for symptoms of students who stay in hostels will be done.
The report also revealed that if the parents allow them, the students can continue to study from home.
Delhi
The state government decided to resume offline classes for students in senior standards by reopening the schools for Classes 9 to 12 from today, February 7. The schools will reopen in a phased manner for these students, keeping in mind all the Covid-19 precautions.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
