Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding playlist had AP Dhillon’s Excuses and more, reveals DJ AJ

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding playlist has been revealed by DJ AJ. He played energetic Bollywood, English and Punjabi hits during the celebrations.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding was full of love, laughter and, of course, naach gaana. After all, what is a Bollywood shaadi without some high-energy music? DJ AJ, who curated the playlist for Alia and Ranbir’s wedding festivities and also the reception party, revealed the kind of songs he played. It included Bollywood, English and Punjabi hits.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have stepped into their new life as husband and wife and are building a life together. Their wedding celebrations were extremely memorable. DJ AJ (born Arjun Shah), who is a favourite of celebrities, was roped in for Alia and Ranbir’s shaadi. Earlier, he has played at the weddings of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, and Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta.

In an interview with NDTV, DJ AJ revealed that he played a mix of English, Punjabi and Bollywood songs for Alia and Ranbir. Some hits on the list were Subha Hone Na De, Gur Nal Isha Mitha and AP Dhillon hits Insane and Excuses.

He said, "Ranbir and Alia are the sweetest couple and it was a great opportunity to perform for them. It is always exciting to DJ at such occasions and I'm sure the crowd enjoyed it a lot. The most iconic wedding of the year had to be one with high energy levels and a combination of Punjabi, English and Bollywood music was the best way to celebrate the couple."

DJ AJ had earlier thanked Alia and Ranbir and congratulated them on their big day.

Alia Bhatt took to social media and shared many pictures from her mehendi ceremony and revealed that her and Ranbir’s best friend, Ayan Mukerji, turned into a DJ for them. She wrote, “The Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a LOT of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr. Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs), all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are days and then there are days like these (sic).”
