Unfortunately for Alex Warren, his Grammy debut hit a sour note.
The rising pop singer, whose performance at the Grammy Awards in February was plagued by technical difficulties, reflected on the experience during an interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, released Wednesday, March 11.
"It was horrifying," Warren, 25, told host Alex Cooper. "We had rehearsed it all week. It was perfect. To this day, I don't know exactly what happened."
Warren, who was nominated for best new artist at the Grammys, performed as part of the ceremony's best new artist medley, which featured numbers from fellow nominees Olivia Dean, Leon Thomas, Addison Rae, Sombr and others.
The "Ordinary" singer got off to a rocky start, lagging behind the music for the first half of his performance. Despite his consistent vocals, Warren struggled with what appeared to be audio issues, at one point reaching behind his suit to adjust his earpieces and then ripping both out.
