Akshay Kumar lauds Anupam Kher's acting in The Kashmir Files. Writes 'hope to watch the film soon'

Akshay Kumar lauds Anupam Kher-starrer The Kashmir Files. The actor is the only Bollywood A-lister who has tweeted about the film so far.

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is receiving great reviews from all quarters. The film, despite releasing amid many hiccups and legal barriers, is witnessing great box office numbers. Several filmmakers and the audience have lauded The Kashmir Files for its bold yet sensitive depiction of the plight of Kashmiri pundits during the 1990 insurgency period. Akshay Kumar was one of the first A-listed Bollywood actors to hail The Kashmir Files. On Twitter, he wrote that he wishes to see the film soon.

The Kashmir Files, helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, has gone on to become a massive hit. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, among others. Following the huge success, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to laud Anupam Kher's performance and the film. He reposted one of Anupam Kher’s latest tweets which had a behind-the-scenes (BTS) photo of the latter. Akshay’s tweet could be read, “Hearing absolutely incredible things about your performance in #TheKashmirFiles @AnupamPKher Amazing to see the audience back to the cinemas in large numbers. Hope to watch the film soon. Jai Ambe (sic).”

On its opening day, The Kashmir Files managed to mint a staggering sum of Rs 3.55. The numbers are only expected to rise over the weekend. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh highlighted that the film is heading for solid growth. The screens and show timings have been increased too. Morning shows have started as early as 6.30 am.
