A threat call, in which a person claimed he would hijack a flight, was made at Air India's office at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Wednesday.

The call was made at around 7 pm. As per information received, the caller spoke in the Bengali language and identified himself as Prashanta Biswas.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
