AIIMS Bilaspur might be inaugurated by PM Modi in June: CM Jai Ram Thakur

The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Thursday that AIIMS in HP's Bilaspur district might be inaugurated by PM Modi in June.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi may inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh in June, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday.
The chief minister was addressing the Hamirpur district and said that PM Modi is likely to inaugurate the fully-functional AIIMS, Bilaspur in June.
BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda had earlier inaugurated the outpatient department of AIIMS, Bilaspur in December of last year.
CM Jai Ram Thakur further informed that Himachal Pradesh has six functional government medical colleges along with one private medical college.
On a visit to the construction site of the Dr Radhakrishnan Government Medical College (RKGMC), the chief minister directed authorities to ensure that the project is completed in a time-bound manner.
He further said that this 250-bed medical college and hospital is slated to be completed by August this year.Remarking further, he said that on the project's completion, it will provide modern healthcare facilities to the people of the region.
He said further that construction work on medical colleges in Nahan, Chamba, and Hamirpur is in full swing, with attempts to finish them by September.
