AIIMS-Bhubaneswar shuts OPDs after over 250 staff members, faculty test positive for Covid

The AIIMS Bhubaneswar administration has suspended walk-in OPD services beginning January 17 after more than 250 institute employees, including doctors and students, were infected with Covid-19.
Amid rising Covid cases among healthcare workers in the state, AIIMS Bhubaneswar will temporarily suspend walk-in OPD (Outpatient Department) services in all specialty and super-specialty departments beginning Monday.
The decision was taken after more than 250 faculty, staff, and students at the institution were infected with Covid-19.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 2 am and 3 am on Sunday. The viral footage of the incident showed the luxury car executing high-speed turns and repeated drifts at the Anil Kumble Circle in Bengaluru.
