A mentally-ill woman gave birth to a child in a toilet at the Women's Protection Development Home in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
A mentally-ill woman, living under the Women's Protection Development Home in Ahmedabad, gave birth to a child in the toilet on Thursday.
She delivered the child when she went to the toilet to pee in the morning.
The child's head got stuck in the hole of the toilet seat. A team of Ahmedabad Fire Brigade was informed, who rushed to the spot and helped in safely rescuing the baby.
The mother and the child were taken to a hospital and are said to be in a stable condition.
